Description
This Condrieu, signed by Guigal, originates from pure Viognier grapes grown in plots that are approximately 25 years old, characterized by terraced systems. The subsoil features a dominant granite component. The grapes are carefully harvested during the manual harvest, with attention to selecting only those that are perfectly ripe. Once destemmed, the resulting berries are pressed, and the must begins to ferment, undergoing malolactic fermentation, both in stainless steel – for two-thirds of the mass – and in wood. This proportion is maintained during the final aging phase, where the wine matures for 8 months.
