Credit Card Security Code Explanation:

During our checkout process, customers are prompted to enter their credit card’s security code, also referred to as the Card Verification Value Code (CVV). This authentication procedure, established by credit card companies, is designed to combat credit card fraud by verifying possession of the card itself. The CVV code, which appears on most major credit and debit cards, serves the same function across all card types, albeit with different names. For example, VISA calls it CVV2, MasterCard refers to it as CVC2, and American Express labels it CID.

The CVV code is typically located on the back panel of most Visa/MasterCard cards, along with the full 16-digit account number. Some banks may display only the last four digits of the account number followed by the code. To enhance security and prevent fraudulent credit card use, we require the 3 or 4-digit code found on the back of your credit card during the checkout process. Rest assured that when you submit your credit card information, it is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology certified by a digital certificate.

The CVV security code is typically a 3 or 4-digit number printed at the top of the signature strip on the back of your credit card. American Express cards feature a 4-digit number on the front of the card.
