Gitton Pere & Fils, Sancerre Les Belles Dames 2009

Sauvignon Blanc 100%

We are in the Loire Valley, in the heart of France, in one of the most famous “white wine” regions in the world. In 1945, Marcell Gitton acquired half a hectare of vineyard in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley. Domaine Gitton Père et Fils has built its reputation over the years on respecting traditions and aiming to produce distinctive wines that reflect the “heart” of its vines. After the harvest in the “le Belle Dame” vineyard, it ferments in French oak barrels, where it remains for about 10 months, undergoing continuous batonnage. It is a snapshot of the terroir and its soil. Mineral and fruity, it captivates with the complexity of its aromas and persistence. A great white wine from the Loire.
