Mount Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc 100%

La Mount Nelson winery was established thanks to Lodovico Antinori’s immense passion for wine and the close relationship formed between the Notari family and Marchesi Antinori S.r.l. In 1997, the Notari family made a significant move by founding, with direct support from Marchese Piero Antinori, the Compagnia del Vino, a company that produces and distributes wines embodying Giancarlo and Saverio’s vision. Since then, the company has seen substantial growth, acquiring different brands: Col de’ Salici and Il Grillesino were purchased, alongside other significant foreign wineries distributed throughout Italy, such as Pol Roger, Famille Hugel, and, ultimately, Mount Nelson. This particular winery owes its existence to Lodovico Antinori’s immense love for Sauvignon Blanc. Together with his winemaker Helena Linderberg, Lodovico decided to seek out a vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand, specifically suited for this grape variety. This careful selection led to a truly special bottle, where Sauvignon Blanc expresses all the characteristics of the New World terroir, perfectly harmonized with a structure and minerality typical of what this grape variety achieves in Europe.
