Maculan, Acininobili, Veneto IGT 1999

Vespaiola 100%

The “Acininobili” Passito by Maculan is a dessert wine obtained from the vinification of Vespaiola, a native grape variety historically grown in the Breganze area, the hilly region north of Vicenza. The grapes are left to wither, and thanks to the specific climatic conditions of the area, they are fermented once the berries have been attacked by the famous noble rot, Botrytis Cinerea, which contributes to the development of particularly complex and rich aromas. After a long and slow fermentation, the wine matures for at least 2 years in new barriques and completes its aging with at least 6 months in the bottle.
