Hospices de Beaune Pommard Cuvee Billardet 1999

Pinot Noir 100%

Pommard, alongside Chablis, holds the privilege of being among the most renowned Burgundy appellations abroad. Particularly admired by Victor Hugo, Pommard wines originate from a ferruginous clay-limestone soil, giving rise to a full-bodied and tannic wine with complex aromas reminiscent of blackcurrant, plum, pepper, and leather. Particularly suitable for extended aging, this wine is undoubtedly one of Burgundy’s most robust crus.
