Domaine Antonin Guyon Gevrey-Chambertin La Justice 2003

Pinot Noir 100%

Domaine Antonin Guyon stands as one of the most esteemed estates in the Côte d’Or and is among the largest family-owned wineries in the region. Originating in the 1960s, Antonin Guyon began with land parcels in Gevrey and Meursault. Today, his sons, Dominique and Michel, manage the extensive 47-hectare property, producing wines of exceptional quality across 15 different appellations, encompassing renowned villages in the area. The estate boasts an exceptional range of Premier and Grands Crus. Gevrey-Chambertin, situated in the northern Côte de Nuits, is a significant wine-producing village. The region’s soils predominantly consist of clay and limestone, rich in substantial mineral deposits. La Justice vineyard, located just below the village of Gevrey, is esteemed as the finest lieu-dit in Gevrey-Chambertin. Grapes undergo meticulous hand-harvesting and are transported in small wooden boxes to the cellars for sorting. Fermentation occurs for 20 days in open wooden vats at controlled temperatures with manual treading. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak barrels, with one-third of them being new barrels.”
