Louis Jadot Les-Saint-Georges – Nuits-Saint-Georges 2015

Pinot Noir 100%

Louis Jadot, situated in Beaune, is among the most prestigious and extensive estates in Burgundy, covering nearly all the appellations in the region. Presently owned by an affluent American family, it is led by Frédéric Barnier, leveraging his expertise to consistently produce quality wines. This consistency is Jadot’s hallmark in Burgundy: its 225-hectare property spans 130 appellations across Côte d’Or, Mâconnais, and Beaujolais, offering consumers consistent satisfaction regardless of the bottle’s price range, with Bacchus’ iconic head always adorning its labels. The estate favors traditional winemaking methods involving slow fermentations and long aging processes. Chemical herbicides are banned, and yields are strictly limited. The limestone and marl soil, along with the east-facing exposure, contribute to producing this excellent cuvée. Hand-harvesting precedes a brief maceration, followed by a fermentation period of over three weeks, and aging in oak barrels, two-thirds of which are new wood.
