Cantina Terlano, Winkl, Sauvignon Alto Adige 2023

Description

Founded in 1893, Cantina Terlano is one of the most forward-thinking cooperative wine producers in the Alto Adige region. Its current 143 members cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards, resulting in a total annual production of 1.5 million bottles. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand. After gentle pressing, natural sedimentation is allowed for clarification. Slow fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for 7-8 months on fine lees, partly in stainless steel barrels (80%) and partly in large wooden casks (20%).
