Cantina Terlano, Quarz, Sauvignon 2023

Description

Founded in 1893, Cantina Terlano is one of the most forward-thinking cooperative wine producers in the Alto Adige region. Its current 143 members cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards, resulting in a total annual production of 1.5 million bottles. Grapes are harvested and selected by hand. Whole-cluster pressing and natural settling for clarification are employed. Slow fermentation at controlled temperatures and maturation for 9 months on fine lees, partly in large wooden casks (50%) and partly in stainless steel barrels (50%). Blending takes place three months before bottling.
