Bouchard Pere & Fils Gevrey – Chambertin 2004

Pinot Noir 100%

Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père et Fils stands as one of the most renowned Maisons in all of Burgundy. This Maison, owned by Champagne Henriot since 1995, has seen significant development over time and currently holds an esteemed position among the finest wine merchants in the region. Bouchard Père et Fils also owns its own estate covering 130 hectares. To craft this Pinot Noir cuvée, the famous Burgundian Négociant Maison Bouchard has sourced the grapes from growers in Gevrey-Chambertin, a renowned appellation of the Côte de Nuits. Although the grapes do not come from Bouchard’s own vineyards, the maison ensures stringent adherence to its winemaking standards, leaving nothing to chance. Thanks to superb aging, the Pinot Noir excels in expressing its aromas and the characteristics of its original terroir. The wine rests in cellars dug 10 meters underground for 8-14 months in wooden barrels (new at 20-40% depending on the vintage).
