Louis Jadot Pommard 2015

Pinot Noir 100%

Description

The Louis Jadot estate, located in Beaune, is one of the most prestigious and extensive in Burgundy, encompassing nearly all the appellations in the region. Currently owned by a wealthy American family, it is managed by Frédéric Barnier, who, leveraging his expertise, consistently produces high-quality wines. That’s the hallmark of Jadot in Burgundy: the 225-hectare property spanning 130 appellations across Côte d’Or, Mâconnais, and Beaujolais, consistently delivers customer satisfaction regardless of the bottle’s price range, always marked by the iconic head of Bacchus on its labels. The estate favors traditional winemaking methods involving slow fermentations and long aging processes. Chemical herbicides are banned, and yields are strictly limited. The clay-limestone soil imparts a dark red color to the wine, with a bouquet of red fruits that delicately transitions to bloodier notes over time. The nose is captivating, and the well-structured palate offers superb balance between maturity and freshness. The wine has a broad texture with silky tannins, making it an exceptional choice for special occasions.
