Description
The ‘Collepiano’ is a robust and vigorous Sagrantino produced by the historic label Arnaldo Caprai. Collepiano refers to the production area of this wine, denoting the gentle hills near Montefalco, a charming town in Umbria. It originates from the careful selection of exclusively Sagrantino grapes, which are delicately transported to the cellar and softly pressed to obtain a high-quality must. The vinification phase follows, where the grape juice, in contact with its skins for 26-28 days, transforms into wine through the alcoholic fermentation process. It matures in barriques for 22 months before further refining in the bottle for at least 8 months.
