Famiglia Cotarella Falesco ‘Marciliano’ Rosso Umbria IGT 2004

Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Cabernet Franc 30%

Marciliano by Famiglia Cotarella originates from the combination of two highly complementary international grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. These vines, around 12 years old, are cultivated using the cordon spur training system on the hills of Montecchio, at an altitude of approximately 350 meters above sea level. The soil consists of calcareous and clayey formations. The must obtained from pressing the berries ferments in stainless steel containers, macerating on the skins for 14 days using the bleeding technique for 25% of the total wine mass. The final aging process takes place initially for 18 months in barriques, and then, after bottling, for another 12 months directly in glass.
