Pio Cesare il Bricco di Treiso, Barbaresco DOCG 1996

Nebbiolo 100%

This Barbaresco ‘Il Bricco’ is an authentic and classic expression of the Piedmontese Langhe, a red wine that truly represents its designation of origin. It is a label that the Pio Cesare winery produces in limited bottles after a meticulous selection of Nebbiolo grapes grown in a single plot of land located in Treiso. A wine that distinctly and clearly reflects the terroir, where energy and grace give life to a complex sip that impresses with its balance and persistence. Pio Cesare selects Nebbiolo grapes for this Barbaresco ‘Il Bricco’ from three subzones of the ‘Cascina Il Bricco’ vineyard located in the municipality of Treiso, at about 350 meters above sea level. The grapes, once carefully selected, ferment in temperature-controlled steel containers, slowly macerating for about 25 days. The aging process continues for 30 months in large oak barrels and, for a small part of the final wine mass, in barriques.
