Pio Cesare Barbaresco DOCG 2012

Nebbiolo 100%

The magic of the landscapes that make up the Piedmontese Langhe is encapsulated in the products bearing the Pio Cesare label. A historic production reality of these territories, capable like no other of enhancing the different crus, blending the main characteristics of individual vineyards into labels with a broad perspective. Just as is the case with this Barbaresco DOCG, where a classic and traditional style dominates both the nose and the palate, giving us a bottle capable of always pleasing the palates of connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. This Barbaresco is crafted by the Pio Cesare winery using Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the most suitable vineyards around the Treiso and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio areas. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, ferment in steel containers, macerating on the skins for about 25-30 days. After vinification, the aging process begins, lasting 30 months, mostly in large oak barrels; a small part of the total wine mass also matures in barriques.
