Description

The designation of this exceptional, elegant, and refined red wine from the Ceretto estate in Piedmont is the Langhe Rosso DOC. The winemaking process involves a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon comprising 50%, 25% Merlot, and 25% Syrah grapes. It’s sought after and refined, as only Ceretto knows how to do. Monsordo is a wine with a modern character but at the same time nods to tradition and the local identity of the territory. Capable of showcasing the characteristics of the varieties that produce it and strongly influenced by the Langa terroir. It’s a wine with international style but with a distinctly Piedmontese accent. The vinification considers the different ripening times of the 4 varieties, carried out at 4 different optimal moments for each varietal. For all of them, malolactic fermentation takes place in 300-liter wooden tonneaux. This is followed by a long aging of 12 to a maximum of 14 months in wood for each wine.
