Prunotto Barolo DOCG 1999

Nebbiolo 100%

The Barolo crafted by the Prunotto winery is a muscular Piedmontese red, immediately revealing itself as rich in aromas and expansive sensations. This Prunotto Barolo comes from the native red grape variety, Nebbiolo, which achieves memorable quality peaks within the Piedmontese Langhe region. The grapes of this variety are cultivated in the areas of Monforte, Castiglione Falletto, and Serralunga, in vineyards characterized by a subsoil composed of Sant’Agata marls. Once brought to the winemaking premises, the grapes are destemmed, then fermented in steel containers, macerating for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, undergoing malolactic fermentation as well. The aging phase proceeds initially for 24 months in barrels of various capacities. After bottling, the wine ages for another 12 months directly in glass.
