Michele Chiarlo Triumviratum Riserva – Barolo DOCG 1997

Nebbiolo 100%

In ancient Rome, the ‘Triumviratum’ referred to a form of government in which power was concentrated in the hands of three different individuals who jointly associated to lead the empire. Similarly, Michele Chiarlo’s Barolo Riserva ‘Triumviratum,’ with its name, emphasizes that it was obtained from grapes harvested in the three most important crus of the estate: Cerequio, Cannubi, and Brunate. It rests for three years in large barrels and further matures for an equal amount of time in the bottle. The result is an extremely complex Barolo, extraordinary in its longevity, and elegant both in aroma and taste. Produced exclusively in qualitatively superior vintages, it is the ‘king’ of Michele Chiarlo’s Barolos: simply unique.”
