Pio Cesare Dolcetto D’alba 2011

Pio Cesare’s Dolcetto d’Alba is produced by the historic and prestigious winery in the Langhe region, with the intention of offering a red wine that expresses the primary aromas of this ancient native Piedmontese variety, enhancing its fragrant and fruity profile. The Dolcetto d’Alba red wine is made from grapes sourced partly from Pio Cesare’s own vineyards in Treiso and Roddino and partly from the grapes of some historic contributors to the winery, with whom there is a well-established relationship of collaboration and trust. After the harvest, the grapes are transferred to the cellar for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins lasting about ten days. The wine is aged in steel for several months to preserve its youthful fragrance and juicy, crisp fruit.
