Petra Potenti rosso Toscana IGT 2000

Description

The red wine “Potenti” from the Petra winery is produced in the Val di Cornia area, in the San Lorenzo locality. The estate covers about 60 hectares in a territory characterized by still wild nature, thanks to the presence of the Montioni Natural Park, the Poggio Tre Cancelli Natural Reserve, and the Coastal Park of Sterpaia. The vineyards are cultivated between the first reliefs of the metalliferous hills and the Tyrrhenian coast, in an area with a very sunny and ventilated climate. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from the Potenti vineyard, in the Riotorto locality, characterized by clayey, sandy, and calcareous soils, rich in skeleton. After the harvest, the grapes ferment in truncated cone-shaped oak vats of 100 hectoliters. Following the best Bordeaux traditions, the wine matures in French oak barrels for 18 months before being bottled.
