Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2007

Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara

Giuseppe Quintarelli’s name has been an undisputed guiding light in the Valpolicella region for years, embodying like no other the deepest and truest essence of a territory now rightfully acknowledged as among the most prestigious in Italian winemaking, capable of producing simply extraordinary wines that are unmatched. Spread across twelve hectares in the Negrar valley, in the Veneto region, province of Verona, you’ll find the most important native grape varieties, such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, giving life to an average of about 50,000 bottles every year. This is an ancient story that began in the early 1900s with Silvio Quintarelli and continued from the mid-century, marked by tradition and the highest quality standards, under the guidance of his youngest son, “Bepi,” now an undisputed master of Amarone. Rooted in deep respect for nature and strict grape selection, Quintarelli’s wines are of the highest caliber, labels that encapsulate significant age-old expertise and unique awareness, put into practice year after year, both among the rows of vines and in the techniques of appassimento and cellar practices. Vinification involves the appassimento process of drying the grapes in small wooden crates and racks, a 2-month maceration on the skins, and a 45-day alcoholic fermentation. Maturation, on the other hand, lasts 6 years in large Slavonian oak barrels.
