Chateau Duhart-Milon Pauillac 2001

Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 30%

Description

The Château Duhart-Milon, with its 76 hectares rich in history and character in Pauillac, at the heart of the Médoc, produces wines that blend strength, elegance, and mystery with extraordinary kindness. Its story dates back to the early 1800s and was classified in 1855 as Quatrièmes Crus Classés, confirming the recognized quality of the estate even then. It is currently owned by the Rothschild family and is contiguous to the renowned Château Lafite Rothschild. Since then, the Rothschild family has made significant financial and technical investments in Château Duhart-Milon, and the results are now evident to all. Additionally, the winemaking and vineyard team is shared with Château Lafite Rothschild due to their proximity. The outcomes of this special history, which began a long time ago and has never ceased to grow, are clearly evident today. After the acquisition in 1963, Baron Eric de Rothschild declared, “It would have been foolish not to acquire a neighbor with vineyards of such quality,” and perhaps these words suffice to define its greatness and potential.
