Bellavista Casotte Rosso del Sebino IGT 1997

Cabernet Sauvignon 85% e Merlot 15%.

The grapes for this cru come from the homonymous vineyard, facing south and located on a clayey hillside in the municipality of Adro. The training system is bilateral Guyot with a density of approximately 5,000 plants per hectare. The grapes are harvested only when fully ripe. After a careful selection in the field by a group of experienced harvesters, the grapes are transported directly to the cellar in small crates. Here, only after further selection by the master winemaker, the grapes can start the normal cycle of the oldest red winemaking process. After fermentation, the Solesine is placed in 228-liter oak barrels, where it remains for about 12 months to complete its natural evolution. Then, the Solesine is transferred to stainless steel containers, where it stays for the entire winter. In the second spring following the harvest, it is bottled and put on the market after 6-8 months of refinement.”
