Description

The Gewurztraminer from the Franz Haas winery is a full-bodied and highly aromatic white wine produced in the Val d’Adige, in the province of Bolzano. The Haas family has been managing this renowned winery for seven generations, and over the years, it has become one of the flagships of South Tyrol. The grapes are harvested when they reach full maturity. The clusters are carefully selected after being transported to the winery, and after gentle pressing, the must is obtained. It is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged on its lees with frequent batonnage for approximately 6 months in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This process allows the white wine to acquire structure while preserving its aromatic qualities.
