The Castello di Brolio is an excellent Chianti Classico. It comes from the highest selection of Sangiovese grapes from the vineyards adjacent to the Castello di Brolio itself. These vineyards grow on three main geological formations: Macigno del Chianti (sandstones), Scaglia Toscana (galestro), Monte Morello (alberese). Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 24°C-27°C for a period of 14-16 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes aging for 23 months in 500-liter tonneaux, of which 30% are new and 70% are of second passage.
