Description
The 2016 Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red color and subtle garnet hues. Its bouquet is characterized by notes of blackberry, cherry, and potpourri, enriched with balsamic hints and tertiary aromas of graphite, licorice, and tobacco. The palate is full and enveloping, with elegant and well-defined tannins, supported by a pleasant acidity that culminates in a fresh and persistent finish. After a fermentation period of one month, the wine matures for at least 36-42 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and then for an additional 18 months in the bottle. The 2016 Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino is a wine of great refinement, among the best for its savoriness and eloquence on the palate, confirming the winery as one of the excellences in Brunello di Montalcino production.
