Description
The “Le Barancole” Riserva from the San Giusto a Rentennano winery is a Chianti Classico DOCG that comes from the blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo. The vineyard soils differ, but are mostly characterized by a tuffaceous subsoil rich in sand. The vines are cultivated following the principles of organic farming, and the harvest takes place around the end of September and the beginning of October. The must undergoes spontaneous fermentation, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, both in cement and stainless steel tanks, macerating in contact with the skins for a total of 18-20 days. Without any filtration, the wine is then transferred to oak barrels and casks for aging, totaling 16-20 months.
