Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Brut Rose 2000

Pinot Noir 70%, Chardonnay 30%

The ‘Comtes de Champagne’ Rosé Brut by Taittinger is a vintage Champagne. Its grapes are handpicked and carefully selected around the month of September. The clusters are then pressed directly, using a vertical press for Chardonnay, while the Pinot Noir remains in contact with the skins for several hours after pressing to achieve the desired color. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. Subsequently, there’s a blend between the two varieties and the addition of liqueur de tirage for the secondary fermentation in the bottle on its lees for a minimum of 60 months. At the end of the aging period, it concludes with disgorging and the subsequent addition of liqueur d’expedition to achieve the desired dosage, as per the brut category.
