Description
“Modus” – a Latin word that evokes method and measure – is Ruffino’s modern expression in the union of three noble grape varieties. Born in 1997, it is an award-winning Supertuscan, acclaimed with favorable reviews worldwide. It is the synthesis of all the elements that contribute to its unique character: vines, sun, soil, and the work of man. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration, with periodic pump-overs and délestage, take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 28 days. After racking, malolactic fermentation occurs in large stainless steel vessels.
