Description

Ridge Vineyards winery is located in Cupertino, Santa Clara County, approximately 70 kilometers south of San Francisco, California. The wine is obtained from a selection of 19-20 estate vineyards situated in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This region has its own appellation, separating it from both the North Coast and the Central Coast of California. The soils here are primarily a mix of limestone, clay, and loam. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and crushed before being fermented using only native yeasts. The malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. The wine is then aged in American oak barrels for approximately 20 months.
