Cantina Tramin Kellerei Cabernet Sauvignon Alto Adige 2017

Cabernet Sauvignon 100%

The grapes used for producing this characterful red wine, rich in aroma and roundness of taste, are Cabernet Sauvignon, a variety native to the Médoc and Graves regions, which has also perfectly adapted to Northern Italy. The vineyards are cultivated in certified DOC micro-zones of Termeno and Egna, where the soils consist of gravelly limestone formations. The yield of the vine is approximately 55 hectoliters of wine per hectare of land. For vinification, the grapes are destemmed and left to ferment at a controlled temperature that never exceeds 28°C. This process takes place in stainless steel containers where malolactic fermentation is only partially allowed to develop. Subsequently, the aging process occurs in used barrique barrels, imparting a higher-grade woody note to the wine. The maximum aging period is 8 years.
