After acquiring Maison Delamotte, the fifth oldest cellar in Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru commune in the Côte des Blancs, Maison Laurent-Perrier finalized the purchase of the nearby Salon cellar in 1988, renowned for the excellent quality of its Champagnes. Salon is a Blanc de Blancs unique in the world: a single grape variety, Chardonnay, from the exclusive area of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, from a single year. In the 20th century, it was produced 37 times. ‘The first cult wine of the 20th century
