Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny 2008

Pinot Noir 100%

Louis Jadot, located in Beaune, is one of the most prestigious and extensive estates in Burgundy, covering nearly all the appellations in the region. Currently owned by a wealthy American family, it is directed by Frédéric Barnier, who, leveraging his expertise in the field, consistently produces quality wines. This is what distinguishes Jadot in Burgundy: its 225-hectare property encompassing 130 appellations (in Côte d’Or, Mâconnais, and Beaujolais) delivers consistent consumer satisfaction, regardless of the bottle price range. The iconic Bacchus head always stands out on their labels. The estate prefers traditional winemaking methods based on slow fermentations and long aging. Chemical herbicides are prohibited, and yields are strictly controlled. The fruit for this wine comes from the municipality of Chambolle-Musigny, which boasts 24 Premiers Crus and 2 Grands Crus. The fine structure of Chambolle wines is influenced by the limestone, gravelly, and pebbly soil of the region. The Pinot Noir grapes for this wine undergo fermentation in vats for up to a month, after which the wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels.
