Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf-du-Pape La Crau 2014

Grenache Noir 65%, Mourvèdre 15%, Syrah 15%, Cinsault 5%

The Vieux Télégraphe estate is located in Bédarrides, in the heart of the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. For six generations, the domaine has been owned and run by the Brunier family, who have firmly held the reins of the business since 1891. Through ups and downs, facing diverse circumstances intertwined with personal episodes and historical events, the estate has been active in winemaking for almost a century and a half. One thing has remained unchanged since the beginning: the philosophy governing it, aiming for the highest possible quality, sustainability, and utmost respect for the environment. Following organic farming practices, only organic fertilizers are used, and mechanical means are employed for under-vine weed control. Pruning and green harvesting are frequently practiced to keep yields low, while treatments to counter fungi, parasites, and diseases rely solely on copper and sulfur-based solutions. Vinification and Aging: After manual harvesting, fermentation occurs for 20 to 25 days in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The wine ages for 20 to 22 months in French oak barrels with a capacity of 60 hectoliters.”
