Chateau Leoville Barton – Saint Julien 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 10%

Château Léoville Barton is a 2ème Grand Cru Classé located in Saint-Julien, near the Gironde estuary in France, specifically within the Médoc region, renowned worldwide for producing exceptional red wines. Today, the estate spans 50 hectares, cultivated on gravelly soils resting on a clay substrate. Apart from impeccable vineyards, the Château boasts an extraordinary garden-park crafted by several generations, featuring over a thousand varieties of roses that create an unforgettable landscape. Within the vineyards, some historic plots hold very old vines that contribute to the aromatic depth of the wines’ bouquet. Concerning the distribution of grape varieties, 74% is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% to Merlot, and 9% to Cabernet Franc. These three grapes play a vital role in creating the final blend of the two labels that come to life each year within the Château. Alongside the Grand Cru Classé, which is difficult to describe solely in words, as evidenced by its high scores in various vintages, there is also “La Réserve de Léoville Barton,” another true excellence stemming from the terroir of Saint-Julien.
