Chateau Figeac – Saint Emilion 2017

Cabernet Sauvignon 35%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 35%

Since 1980, renowned worldwide, the labels of Château-Figeac have originated from over forty hectares of vineyards – cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, nature, biodiversity, and the ecosystem – but above all, they are the result of the desire to preserve the spirit and values of sharing, knowledge, innovation, and excellence. The bottling of the first vintage bearing the Manoncourt label dates back to 1943, and in 1955, the composition of the blend was established, aiming to be respected in every harvest, comprising 30% merlot, 35% cabernet franc, and 35% cabernet sauvignon, a blend that now characterizes what is recognized as the “Figeac style.” In the cellar, without overshadowing local winemaking traditions, cutting-edge – and at times experimental – technological equipment has been employed since ancient times. For instance, Château-Figeac was among the first to introduce steel fermentation tanks and to utilize temperature control methods.
